Two Iron Chefs will enter kitchen stadium, but only one can advance. Chen versus Kobe in a pork battle for the ages. Chairman Kaga wants to close Kitchen Stadium with epic battles like none we have ever seen.
Chen Kenichi is the only Iron Chef to have been in his position since the opening of Kitchen Stadium. His motto for this battle is -Enjoy life through good food-. He wants to have fun cooking and entertain everyone in this match.
Masahiko Kobe is the youngest of the Iron Chefs. His motto for this battle is -Gusto di Mamma-. He wants to go back to basics and create dishes that are as good as mamma makes.
The Szechuan Sage vs. The Prince of Pasta
The theme ingredient is a breed made by crossing 3 different pigs. It is said to be the best pork in Japan. There are plenty of guests and former challengers in the Royal Box for this battle.

The Al Smith dinner is a charity event organized by the Catholic Archdiocese of New York for the benefit of needy children. An estimated $4 million was raised.
