Fox Sports reacted angrily yesterday to having unaired video from one of its NFL sideline reports shown on the WNBC-TV show "Mike'd Up" Sunday night.
The controversy began when the program, starring Mike Francesa, showed Danyelle Sargent beginning a question to new 49ers coach Mike Singletary before his first game this way:
"I heard that your mentor Bill Walsh was one of the first phone calls that you made when you found out that you had the job."
Walsh died last year.
Singletary seemed confused, at which point Sargent cut off the interview, saying, "I'm sorry."

In the mood to celebrate President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration at a D.C. bar? For four days in January, they'll be open 24 hours a day.
Under emergency legislation approved by the D.C. Council yesterday, any District establishment with a liquor license, including restaurants and nightclubs, will be allowed to serve alcohol until 5 a.m. -- three hours later than usual -- and serve food round-the-clock from Jan. 17 until the morning after Obama's swearing-in on Jan. 20.
