Vinnie Jones introduces this series which follows police at work in some of the world's most dangerous locations. Rival gangs have turned parts of the Jamaican capital Kingston into hostile war zones - and the police are caught in the middle trying to stop things descending into civil war. Cameras follow the mobile patrol unit into a no-go area as they search for gunmen, the flying squad as they race through rush-hour traffic to the scene of a double murder, and the murder investigation unit as they are called out to another killing.

Vinnie Jones introduces this series which follows police at work in some of the world's most dangerous locations. For 43 years, South Africa was a nation divided by the rules of apartheid, but when freedom finally came in 1991, the suffering continued with more than 300 murders and violent attacks taking place every day. Cameras follow cops in Durban as they bust drug dealers, conduct a raid searching for illegal firearms, and chase and confront a group of armed robbers in a busy central Durban shopping centre.

Reporter Evan Williams and producer James Brabazon journey to Kingston to uncover allegations that political parties are arming and funding violent gangs in return for votes. Jamaican police kill more people per capita than almost anywhere else in the world, and all the signs are that in a country crippled by one of the highest murder rates in the world, its politicians seem more concerned with holding onto power than doing anything to end the terrible violence.
